03 / Why us

Operators first. Coders second.

Most AI shops can build a polished app. Fewer can tell you whether it's the right thing to build.

Our team's background spans private equity, M&A, operating small businesses, serving on boards, and entrepreneurship. That gives us a sharp filter for what actually saves time versus what just looks impressive in a demo.

You own it. Outright.

Custom AI shaped to your business, often for less than a year of SaaS subscription fees. You keep the system and the source code.

Built to fit. Not retrofit.

Off-the-shelf software almost fits. We build the tool you need, shaped to your workflows, not someone else's roadmap.

Fixed pricing. Weekly progress.

Clear timelines, fixed-fee proposals before any build begins, and short iterations so you always know where things stand.

Why Parameter Strategies?
We are operators first, coders second. Most AI shops can build a polished app. Fewer can tell you whether it's the right thing to build. Our team's background spans private equity, M&A, operating small businesses, serving on boards, and entrepreneurship, which gives us a sharp filter for what actually saves time versus what just looks impressive in a demo. We design systems that strengthen the business underneath, not pretty tools that gather dust on a shelf.
What if I'm not sure what to build yet?
That's the most common starting point. Our Discovery & Strategy engagement is designed exactly for this: we map your workflows, identify the highest-ROI automation opportunities, and recommend whether to build, buy, or wait. You leave with a prioritized roadmap whether or not you build with us.
Why custom AI tools instead of off-the-shelf software?
The most powerful application of AI so far is coding. That changes the economics of custom software. For decades, only enterprise budgets could justify building tailored ERPs, CRMs, or internal tools, everyone else paid for generic SaaS that almost fits. AI-assisted development has collapsed those costs. We can now build software shaped exactly to your business, often for less than a year of subscription fees on the off-the-shelf alternative, and you own it outright.
What does it cost to work with you?
Engagements typically start with a paid discovery sprint in the low four figures, followed by build work scoped to the project. Most custom AI tools land between $5,000 and $25,000, with optional ongoing maintenance retainers. We share a fixed-fee proposal before any build begins, so there are no surprises.
How long does a typical project take?
Discovery takes one to two weeks. A focused custom AI tool usually ships in two to six weeks after that, depending on integrations and approvals on your side. We work in short iterations and show progress weekly so you always know where things stand.
How do you handle our data and security?
We use enterprise AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) under their no-training data policies, deploy to your own cloud accounts when possible, and follow least-privilege access for any tool we connect. For regulated industries, we scope additional controls upfront and can sign NDAs or BAAs as needed.
What happens after the tool is built?
You own the system and the code. Most clients keep us on a light maintenance retainer to monitor performance, handle model updates, and ship improvements as your business changes. If you'd rather take it fully in-house, we hand off documentation and train your team.
Do you only work with specific industries?
We focus on small and mid-sized businesses across services, professional firms, real estate, financial services, retail, and a handful of other verticals. The pattern matters more than the industry: if you have repeatable workflows, customer touchpoints, or operations bottlenecks, AI can almost always help.
