Overview

Parameter Strategies ("we," "us," or "our") is an AI consulting firm based in Austin, TX. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit parameterstrategies.ai, how we use it, and the choices you have.

We keep this policy short and plain-English on purpose. If you have questions not answered here, reach out at hello@parameterstrategies.ai.

Information we collect

We collect two types of information:

  • Information you give us directly. When you fill out the contact form on our site, Google Forms collects your name, email address, company name, and the message you write. We receive that information so we can respond to your inquiry.
  • Usage and analytics data. When you visit our site, Google Analytics (GA4) automatically collects data about your visit — things like which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, what device and browser you used, and a general sense of your location (city/region level). This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

We do not collect payment information, Social Security numbers, or any other sensitive personal data through this website.

How we use it

Here is exactly what we do with the information we collect:

  • To respond to your inquiry. If you submit a contact form, we use your name, email, and message to follow up with you. That is the only reason we ask for it.
  • To understand how our site is performing. Google Analytics data helps us see what content is useful, where visitors drop off, and how to improve the site experience.
  • To improve our services. Aggregate patterns in how businesses describe their problems help us understand what the market needs.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails. We will not share your contact details with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Our site uses the following third-party services that may collect or process data:

  • Google Analytics (GA4). We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic and usage. Google may use this data in accordance with their own privacy policy. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy.
  • Google Forms. Our contact form is embedded from Google Forms. When you submit a form, your response is stored in Google's infrastructure and forwarded to us. Google's privacy policy applies to data processed through their Forms service.

We have no control over the privacy practices of these third-party services beyond the configuration options they provide us.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies primarily through Google Analytics. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser that help analytics tools recognize returning visitors and track sessions.

Google Analytics sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to distinguish users and sessions. These cookies do not contain personally identifiable information on their own.

You can control or disable cookies in several ways:

  • Browser settings. Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Check your browser's help documentation for instructions.
  • Google Analytics Opt-out. Google offers a browser add-on that prevents your data from being used by Google Analytics. You can download it at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the site.

Data retention

Contact form responses are retained in Google Forms for as long as needed to respond to the inquiry and maintain a reasonable record of our communication. We periodically review and delete old inquiries that are no longer relevant.

Google Analytics data retention is configured per Google's default settings (26 months for user and event data). You can learn more about Google's data retention practices in their Analytics help documentation.

Your rights

Regardless of where you live, you can:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Request that we delete your contact information from our records
  • Opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on linked above

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@parameterstrategies.ai. We will respond within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you additional rights regarding your personal information:

  • Right to know. You can request a summary of the personal information we have collected about you over the past 12 months, including the categories of information, the sources, the business purpose, and any third parties we shared it with.
  • Right to delete. You can request that we delete personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Right to opt out of sale. We do not sell personal information. There is nothing to opt out of.
  • Right to non-discrimination. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To submit a CCPA request, email hello@parameterstrategies.ai with "CCPA Request" in the subject line.

EU visitors (GDPR)

If you are visiting from the European Union or European Economic Area, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives you rights over your personal data. The legal basis for processing contact form submissions is your consent (you choose to submit the form). The legal basis for analytics processing is our legitimate interest in understanding how our website is used.

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

To exercise your GDPR rights, email hello@parameterstrategies.ai.
